Overview
This instructor-led workshop addresses the key issues related to creating and maintaining respect in the workplace. Topics covered include dealing with sexual harassment; cultural and ethnic diversity, harassment & discrimination; and gender-related, age-related, and sexual orientation related harassment and discrimination. Participants explore Respect in the Workplace issues from a positive and empowering perspective using a combination of lecture and case-studies.
Objective
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
describe how they personally, and their organization, benefit from creating and maintaining respect in the workplace,
describe the behaviors and actions that constitute creating and maintaining respect in the workplace,
describe the behaviors and actions that contribute to creating a toxic workplace,
identify the appropriate steps for dealing with harassment, discrimination or threat in the workplace,
take appropriate actions, and demonstrate appropriate behaviors, that contribute to creating a positive and respectful workplace.
